Studies have shown that music education improves academic achievement, builds communication skills, fosters creativity, develops teamwork, and increases engagement in school. Rigeline’s music education curriculum focuses on the history, structure, and composition of all kinds of music, as well as vocal instruction and performance.

Visual Arts
Ridgeline’s Art Special focuses on visual arts education, which is the area of learning that is based upon the kind of art that one can see—drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and design in jewelry, pottery, weaving, fabrics, etc. Art education is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills, as well as improved motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.

Language – Spanish
Students at Ridgeline Academy begin Spanish studies in Kindergarten and continue throughout their academic career as a Ridgeline Eagle. Not only is a second language an important skill for real-world applications, but studies also suggest a strong correlation between overall academic achievement and foreign language studies. Ridgeline’s Spanish curriculum focuses on language basics, conversation skills, real-life application, and cultural studies.

P.E. – Physical Education
Physical Education (PE) develops a students’ competence and confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school. Ridgeline’s high-quality PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy and succeed in many kinds of physical activity while learning about health, fitness, and the abilities of the human body.
