Adventure Club
The adventure club at Ridgeline Academy is run by the students and for the students. Adventures may include paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, snow sports and more, while embracing the importance of leadership and environmental awareness as the students take responsibility to have a fun yet safe adventure.
NHS
The National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established in 1914. The Ridgeline Chapter comprises students between 9th and 12th grade selected based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The National Honor Society requires students to participate in service to their community, school, or other organizations. The time spent working on these projects contributes towards the student’s yearly service hour requirements.
NJHS
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These five pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1929. The Ridgeline Academy chapter focuses on five main purposes: to create enthusiasm for scholarship; to stimulate a desire to render service; to promote leadership; to encourage responsible citizenship; and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. These purposes also translate into the criteria used for membership selection each year.
True Crime
Do you like a good mystery? Are you a closet Sherlock Holmes? The True Crime club is for you! We will investigate major crime cases that are either solved, cold or possibly wrongfully convicted. We will also discuss theories, watch short documentaries, learn about investigative tools and approaches. This club is a great companion to the Forensics class.
Paper & Pen
The Pen and Paper/Readers and Writers Guild is a discussion-based club about the books we love to read and emulate in our own writing. Each week we discuss a variety of different authors and genres. We critic each other’s poetry, essays, novellas, and even a class paper or two in support of improving our craft.
Magic: The Gathering
The Magic: the Gathering Club is an organization where competitive and strategic students can make friends, get involved in the ever evolving MTG community, and develop their skills through Magic: the Gathering, the world’s first trading card game. In meetings, we engage in teaching and developing game strategies and in-house competitions that breed creativity, logic, and social development.
